The TARDIS materialized on a quiet street corner in Journal Square, Jersey City, NJ. The Doctor and Fitz Kreiner stepped out, eager to explore the neighborhood.
As they walked around, they noticed that something was off. There were no people on the streets, no cars on the roads, and the buildings looked abandoned.
"What's going on here?" Fitz asked.
"I'm not sure," the Doctor replied. "But we'd better find out."
As they walked further into the heart of the city, they heard the sound of music coming from a nearby building. The music was strange, otherworldly, and seemed to be calling to them.
They followed the sound until they reached a building with a sign that read "WJJC Radio Station." The building was in disrepair, and the windows were covered with dust and cobwebs.
Inside, they found a lone DJ sitting in front of a microphone. He introduced himself as Jimmy, the owner of the station.
"I've been broadcasting to no one for years," he said. "Ever since the people of Journal Square disappeared."
"What happened to them?" the Doctor asked.
"No one knows for sure," Jimmy said. "One day they were here, and the next, they were gone."
The Doctor and Fitz decided to investigate. They traveled through the empty streets, looking for any sign of life. As they walked, they saw strange symbols etched into the pavement and on the sides of buildings.
Finally, they found a clue. In an alleyway, they discovered a strange portal, shimmering in the air. They stepped through and found themselves in a parallel universe, where the people of Journal Square had been taken by an alien race.
The Doctor and Fitz fought against the alien invaders and managed to rescue the people of Journal Square, returning them to their own universe.
As they said their goodbyes, the Doctor promised to come back and check on them again, to make sure that everything was okay.
"That's the beauty of traveling through time and space," the Doctor said to Fitz as they stepped back into the TARDIS. "There's always a new adventure waiting around the corner."
