AI Writing: Desire killed Jack

The Sandman and Destruction approached the door, and the Sandman knocked. They waited for a few moments before a small hatch in the door opened, revealing two suspicious eyes.

"What do you want?" asked a gruff voice.

"We're here to see Delirium," said the Sandman.

The eyes studied them for a moment before the hatch slammed shut. A few moments later, the door creaked open, and Delirium stood in the doorway.

"What do you want?" she asked, eyeing them suspiciously.

"We need your help," said Destruction.

Delirium raised an eyebrow. "My help? What could I possibly do to help you?"

"It's about Desire," said the Sandman. "We need to find them and bring them to justice."

Delirium's expression darkened. "What have they done now?"

"They murdered someone," said Destruction.

Delirium gasped. "Murdered? Who did they kill?"

"Their lover," said the Sandman.

Delirium's eyes widened in shock. "Their lover? Who was it?"

"The mortal named Jack," said Destruction.

Delirium's expression softened. "Oh, Jack. I remember him. He was a good man."

"We need your help to find Desire," said the Sandman. "We believe they're hiding in the Dreaming."

Delirium nodded. "I'll help you. But we have to be careful. Desire is clever and deceitful. They could be hiding anywhere."

The three of them set off into the Dreaming, searching for any sign of Desire. They combed through every corner of the realm, but there was no trace of the elusive Endless.

Days turned into weeks, and the search began to take its toll on the trio. They grew tired and irritable, and they began to bicker amongst themselves.

Finally, one day, as they were searching through a forgotten corner of the Dreaming, they stumbled upon a small cave hidden behind a waterfall. They cautiously entered the cave, and there, in the flickering light of a torch, they saw Desire.

Desire looked up as they entered, a sly smile on their face. "Hello, siblings. What brings you here?"

"We're here to bring you to justice," said Destruction, his voice cold and hard.

Desire chuckled. "Justice? And who will be the judge and jury? You three?"

"We'll take you to the courts of the Endless," said the Sandman. "There, you'll stand trial for the murder of Jack."

Desire's smile faded. "I see. And what if I refuse to go?"

"Then we'll make you," said Destruction.

Desire's smile returned. "Oh, I do love it when you get violent, Destruction. But I'm afraid I can't let you take me."

Desire raised their hand, and suddenly the cave began to shake. Rocks tumbled from the ceiling, and the ground shifted beneath their feet.

"What are you doing?" yelled Delirium.

"Escaping," said Desire. "Goodbye, siblings. We'll meet again soon."

And with that, Desire vanished, leaving Destruction, the Sandman, and Delirium alone in the collapsing cave.

They barely managed to escape before the entire cave collapsed in on itself, burying any evidence of Desire's presence.

But they knew that Desire was still out there, somewhere, waiting for the perfect moment to strike again. And they knew that they would be ready when that moment came.
