AI Writing: The Nightmare King Captured Dream

As the Sandman reached the top of the stairs, he found Destruction sitting on a large cushioned chair, staring out the window at the night sky.

"I've been waiting for you," Destruction said, turning to face his brother.

"What is going on, Destruction?" the Sandman asked, approaching him.

"I need your help," Destruction replied, his expression serious. "I have received a message that one of our siblings is in trouble."

"Which one?" the Sandman asked, his brow furrowed.

"Dream," Destruction said, his eyes flickering with concern. "He's trapped in the realm of the Nightmare King, and he needs our help to escape."

The Sandman's eyes widened in shock. "How did this happen?"

"It's a long story," Destruction said, standing up from his chair. "But we need to act fast. Are you with me?"

The Sandman nodded resolutely. "Of course. Let's go save our brother."

Destruction led the way to a large oak door at the end of the hallway. He pushed it open, revealing a small room with a single window overlooking the city.

"Where are we?" the Sandman asked, looking around.

"This is a portal," Destruction explained. "It will take us directly to the realm of the Nightmare King."

The Sandman nodded, and the two brothers stepped through the portal. In an instant, they were transported to a dark and eerie realm, shrouded in mist.

"We need to find Dream," Destruction said, leading the way through the mist.

As they walked, they heard the sounds of screams and moans echoing through the fog. The Sandman's heart began to race with fear and anticipation, knowing that they were getting closer to the Nightmare King's lair.

Finally, they reached a large cave, its entrance guarded by two hulking beasts with glowing red eyes.

"Stand back," Destruction said, stepping forward. "I'll take care of this."

He raised his hand and a blast of fire shot out, incinerating the beasts in an instant. The Sandman watched in awe, feeling a surge of pride for his brother's power.

Together, they entered the cave, the air thick with the stench of death and decay. The Sandman could feel the weight of the Nightmare King's presence bearing down on him, and he struggled to keep his composure.

As they walked deeper into the cave, they could hear the sounds of chains rattling and heavy breathing. And then, in the distance, they saw a figure chained to a wall, his face obscured by shadows.

"Dream," the Sandman whispered, recognizing his brother's form.

They ran to him, and Destruction used his powers to break the chains. Dream stumbled forward, weak and disoriented.

"Thank you," he gasped, looking up at his brothers with gratitude. "I thought I was going to be trapped here forever."

"We're not out of danger yet," the Sandman said, taking charge. "We need to get out of here before the Nightmare King finds us."

They made their way out of the cave, moving as quickly and quietly as possible. But as they emerged into the mist, they could hear the sounds of the Nightmare King's rage echoing through the realm.

"Run!" Destruction yelled, and the three brothers sprinted through the fog, their hearts pounding with fear and adrenaline.

Just as they were about to make it to the portal, a massive creature stepped in front of them, blocking their path.

"You will not escape," the Nightmare King growled, his eyes glowing with fury.

The Sandman stepped forward, determined. "We will not be defeated. We are the Endless, and we will overcome you."
