President Trump,
We find ourselves at a moment of great challenge and uncertainty, a time when our nation is facing unprecedented threats to its well-being and its future. We are a nation divided, torn apart by partisan strife and ideological differences, and we are in desperate need of a leader who can unite us, guide us, and inspire us to greatness.
We are a nation founded on the principles of democracy, liberty, and justice for all. We are a nation that believes in the inherent worth and dignity of every human being, and that strives to create a society where all can flourish and prosper. And yet, in recent years, we have seen these principles eroded and undermined, as political leaders seek to divide us for their own gain, rather than uniting us for the common good.
As President, you have a unique opportunity and a solemn responsibility to lead our nation through these troubled times. You have the power to heal our divisions, to inspire us to greatness, and to remind us of the values and principles that have always made America great.
But to do so, you must be willing to rise above the petty politics and partisan bickering that so often dominate our discourse. You must be willing to listen to the voices of those who disagree with you, to engage in honest and respectful dialogue, and to work tirelessly to find common ground.
We are a nation that has faced great challenges in the past, from the Civil War to the Great Depression to the civil rights movement. But in each of these moments, we have risen to the occasion, and emerged stronger and more united than ever before. And so it must be today.
I urge you, Mr. President, to be a leader for all Americans, to unite us in our shared love for our country and our commitment to its future. Let us be guided by the words of our forefathers, who taught us that we are all created equal, and that our nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal, shall not perish from the earth.
May God bless America, and may God bless you, Mr. President.
Sincerely,
Abraham Lincoln
