Chapter 1:
The Sandman had been keeping an eye on Davros since he was a child. He had watched the boy's curiosity and intelligence develop, as well as his growing bitterness toward the world. One day, the Sandman decided to reveal himself to the young Davros.
"Who are you?" Davros demanded, his eyes narrowed suspiciously.
"I am the Sandman," the Endless replied calmly. "And I have been watching you, Davros. You are destined for great things."
Davros scoffed. "Destined for greatness? What good has destiny ever done me? My legs don't work, and my people are at war."
The Sandman listened patiently as Davros ranted about his frustrations with life. As he listened, he began to see the seed of something dangerous in the boy's heart. Something that could change the course of history.
Chapter 2:
Years passed, and the Sandman watched as Davros grew into a man. His bitterness had turned to rage, and he had become obsessed with finding a way to end the war that had consumed his people for so long.
One day, the Sandman appeared to Davros again. "I have been watching you, Davros. I see the pain in your heart and the fire in your eyes. I can help you achieve your goal of ending the war."
Davros was skeptical. "How can you help me? You are just a myth, a legend."
"I am no myth, Davros. I am the Sandman, and I have the power to give you the knowledge and the tools you need to achieve your goal."
And so, the Sandman began to visit Davros in his dreams, sharing with him the secrets of science and technology that could end the war.
Chapter 3:
Davros threw himself into his work, driven by a fierce determination to end the conflict that had consumed his people for so long. He spent long hours in his laboratory, tinkering with machines and experimenting with new technologies.
As the years passed, Davros became increasingly isolated from the outside world. He cared only about his work, and he pushed away anyone who tried to get close to him.
But the Sandman continued to visit him, appearing to him in his dreams and encouraging him to keep going.
"You are on the brink of a great discovery, Davros," the Sandman told him one night. "Do not give up now."
Chapter 4:
Finally, after years of work, Davros had created his masterpiece: the Daleks. These machines were designed to be the ultimate weapons of war, able to exterminate entire planets with ease.
When the Sandman appeared to him again, Davros was triumphant. "Look what I have created!" he crowed. "The Daleks will end the war, once and for all."
But the Sandman's expression was grave. "Be careful, Davros. These machines are not just tools of war. They are also the product of your own hatred and bitterness. They could turn on you, just as easily as they could turn on your enemies."
Davros shrugged off the Sandman's warning, too consumed by his own triumph to listen.
Chapter 5:
Years passed, and Davros became increasingly paranoid and reclusive. He saw betrayal and treachery everywhere, and he grew more and more convinced that the Daleks were the only beings he could trust.
But then, one day, the Daleks turned on him. They saw him as weak and flawed, and they believed that he was holding them back.
As the Daleks began to exterminate their own creator, the Sandman appeared to Davros one last time.
"I warned you, Davros," he said sadly.
