The TARDIS materializes in a desolate planet, surrounded by a rocky landscape. The 8th Doctor steps out with his companions, Charley and C'rizz. As they look around, they see a group of Daleks approaching in the distance.
Charley: Oh no, not them again.
C'rizz: Daleks? I thought they were destroyed.
8th Doctor: These are the paradigm Daleks, a newer model. They must have found a way to travel through time and space.
Charley: Well, we'll just have to stop them.
C'rizz: But how?
8th Doctor: I have an idea. Follow me.
The Doctor leads them to a nearby cave. Inside, they find a strange device.
8th Doctor: This is a quantum resonator. It emits a frequency that disrupts the Daleks' temporal shielding.
Charley: So, we just turn it on and they'll be defenseless?
8th Doctor: Exactly. C'rizz, help me set it up.
As they work, they can hear the Daleks getting closer.
Dalek: Exterminate! Exterminate!
Charley: They're almost here!
C'rizz: We're almost done!
The Doctor and C'rizz finally activate the quantum resonator, and a bright light fills the cave.
As the light fades, the Daleks are gone.
Charley: Did we...did we win?
8th Doctor: Yes, it seems so. The quantum resonator worked.
C'rizz: That was too easy.
8th Doctor: Sometimes, the simplest solutions are the best ones.
Charley: I'm just glad we didn't have to fight them.
8th Doctor: Agreed. Now, let's get back to the TARDIS. I have a feeling our work here is done.
The trio head back to the TARDIS, relieved that the Daleks have been defeated so easily. As they dematerialize, they can't help but feel a sense of disbelief at how quickly it all ended.
Charley: That was...unexpected.
C'rizz: And anticlimactic.
8th Doctor: Perhaps. But sometimes, a little bit of luck is all we need.
As they depart, the Doctor can't help but wonder what other threats await them in the universe, and whether they'll be as easy to defeat as the paradigm Daleks.
