AI Writing: Night of the Doctor

 INT. TARDIS

The Eighth Doctor pilots the TARDIS, navigating through time and space. Suddenly, a familiar beeping sound alerts him of an incoming message. He rushes to the console, activates the holographic interface, and sees the face of his old companion Fitz Kreiner.

FITZ: Doctor, it's me! It's Fitz!

DOCTOR: Fitz! How did you get this frequency?

FITZ: It doesn't matter, listen to me! The Daleks are planning something big. They're gathering all their forces for a final assault on the Time Lords. You need to stop them!

DOCTOR: (sighs) Of course they are. Fitz, it's been so long. Where are you?

FITZ: I'm on Earth, in the 21st century. But that's not important. Doctor, you can't just sit this one out. The universe needs you.

DOCTOR: (smiling) You're right, as always. I'll do what I can.

The transmission ends. The Doctor sets the TARDIS course for Gallifrey.

DOCTOR: Time to make a house call.

EXT. GALLIFREY

The TARDIS materializes on the desolate planet. The Doctor steps out, ready for battle. Suddenly, he hears a familiar voice.

SAM: Doctor?

The Doctor turns to see Sam Jones, one of his former companions, standing in front of him.

DOCTOR: Sam! It's so good to see you!

SAM: You too. What brings you here?

DOCTOR: The Daleks. They're up to something big, and I need to stop them.

SAM: I'm with you. But we're not alone.

ANJI: (stepping forward) Anji reporting for duty.

LIV: (joining them) Liv Chenka reporting in. And I've brought backup.

HELEN: (grinning) Helen Sinclair at your service.

DOCTOR: (smiling) I couldn't have asked for better companions. Let's go.

They march towards the looming Dalek fleet, weapons drawn.

DOCTOR: This may be our last stand, but we'll make it count.

Suddenly, a bright light surrounds the Doctor. He hears a voice, distant but familiar.

CHARLEY: Doctor! You can't die here. Not like this.

The light fades, and the Doctor finds himself on a different battlefield. Charley Pollard, another former companion, is standing in front of him.

DOCTOR: Charley? What's going on?

CHARLEY: You're about to die, but you don't have to. There's a way out.

DOCTOR: (confused) What way?

Charley steps aside, revealing a portal. The Doctor steps through, and finds himself on Karn, facing the Sisterhood of Karn.

DOCTOR: Oh, no. Not you again.

SISTERHOOD LEADER: Doctor. We have been expecting you.

DOCTOR: (skeptical) Have you? Why?

SISTERHOOD LEADER: We have a proposition for you. A new life, a new body. And with it, a chance to right the wrongs of your past.

DOCTOR: (intrigued) Tell me more.

The Sisterhood explains their plan to give the Doctor a new regeneration cycle, and with it, a chance to continue his adventures.

DOCTOR: (smiling) I accept. But before we begin, I have one request.

The Doctor takes out his sonic screwdriver, and points it at the Sisterhood's potion

The Sisterhood of Karn brought the Doctor into the Temple of the Eternals, where he met with a figure who he recognized as one of his previous companions. "Fitz?" he exclaimed in surprise.

The man smiled wryly. "Good to see you too, Doctor. Though technically, I'm not Fitz anymore. The last time we met, I was going by 'Father Kreiner.'"

The Doctor's eyes widened in recognition. "Ah yes, I remember now. How have you been, Fitz?"

"Can't complain," Fitz replied. "Been keeping myself busy with various projects, but I always make time for the odd adventure."

The Doctor nodded approvingly. "And what about Sam and Anji? Have you heard from them?"

Fitz's expression darkened slightly. "Not for a while. Last I heard, Anji was back in London, and Sam... well, she's been missing for years. I've been trying to track her down, but so far, no luck."

The Doctor's hearts sank at the news. "I'm sorry to hear that. Sam was always a brave and resourceful companion."

Fitz nodded solemnly. "Yeah, she was. But enough about that. What brings you to Karn, Doctor?"

The Doctor took a deep breath. "I'm here to prevent a great catastrophe. The Time War is upon us, and I need your help to end it."

Fitz's eyes widened in shock. "The Time War? That's... that's impossible. I thought the Time Lords were beyond that kind of thing."

The Doctor shook his head sadly. "Not anymore, Fitz. They've become desperate, and now they're willing to do whatever it takes to win. Even if it means destroying entire civilizations, including their own."

Fitz looked troubled. "What can I do to help?"

The Doctor smiled gratefully. "You can help me find the right potion to trigger my regeneration into a warrior. And then, you can make sure that the knowledge of our past lives and all of our companions is never lost."

Fitz nodded resolutely. "I won't let you down, Doctor."

The Doctor took the potion, downing it in one gulp. As he began to regenerate, he felt the weight of all his past lives and companions on his shoulders. But he knew that with their help, he could face the Time War and come out victorious.

The Sisterhood helps the Doctor to choose a regeneration that will be the one to end the Time War. As the Doctor starts to regenerate, he sees visions of his past companions, including Fitz Kreiner, Sam Jones, Anji, Liv, and Helen, and apologizes to them for not being able to save them or spend more time with them. The new incarnation of the Doctor, played by John Hurt, emerges from the regeneration and is immediately aware of the enormity of the task he faces. He takes a moment to gather his thoughts and compose himself, then strides confidently towards the TARDIS, determined to do whatever it takes to end the Time War and save the universe from destruction.

The ship suddenly shakes and the Doctor quickly pulls out a piece of paper with coordinates scribbled on it. "This is where I'm taking you," he says, handing the paper to her.

"Where?" Cass asks, confused.

"Home," the Doctor replies. "Or as close as I can get you."

As they make their way to the TARDIS, the Doctor stops to grab something from a shelf. "Just one more thing," he says, holding up a small device.

"What is it?" Cass asks.

"It's a vortex manipulator," the Doctor explains. "In case things go wrong. I don't want you to end up like me."

Cass nods, understanding the gravity of the situation. They reach the TARDIS and the Doctor unlocks the door. "After you," he says, gesturing for her to enter.

Once inside, Cass looks around in wonder at the console room. The Doctor starts flipping switches and pulling levers, and the TARDIS begins to hum to life.

"We're going to make it," the Doctor says, looking up at Cass. "I promise."

Just then, the ship shakes again and alarms begin to blare.

"What's happening?" Cass asks, fear in her voice.

"We're being pulled into a time vortex," the Doctor explains, frantically trying to stabilize the TARDIS. "Hold on tight!"

The TARDIS shakes and rattles as it hurtles through the vortex, and Cass can hear the Doctor muttering to himself under his breath. Finally, after what feels like hours, the TARDIS comes to a sudden stop.

"We made it," the Doctor says, a huge grin spreading across his face.

Cass looks out the door and sees a desolate wasteland stretching out before them. "Where are we?" she asks.

"This is Skaro," the Doctor explains. "Home of the Daleks."

Cass looks at him in horror. "Why did you bring me here?" she asks.

"Because," the Doctor replies, holding up the vortex manipulator. "We're going to save the universe."

And with that, the Doctor grabs Cass's hand and they run out of the TARDIS and into the fray, ready to face whatever dangers may come their way.

The Doctor wakes up with a start, sweating profusely. He touches his face and feels the wrinkles and lines of the War Doctor's face. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, trying to shake off the terrible dream.

He gets up and walks to the console of the TARDIS, staring out into the vast expanse of space. He thinks back on all his past companions, all those he has lost along the way. Fitz, Sam, Anji, Liv, Helen, and now Cass.

He sighs deeply and shakes his head, knowing that he must continue on, to honor the memory of all those who have traveled with him. He sets the coordinates for his next destination and pulls the lever, the TARDIS dematerializing with a whirring sound.

As he begins to take off, a soft voice echoes in his mind, the voice of his lost companion, Cass. "Doctor, it's not too late. You can still change, you can still be the man you were meant to be."

The War Doctor nods solemnly, knowing that Cass was right. He must continue on, carrying the weight of his past mistakes but also carrying the hope of a better future.

The TARDIS disappears into the depths of space, and the War Doctor sets his sights on the next adventure, determined to make it count.
